The BMC is happening at Queen Mary this April. There is a great list of speakers including an Abel prizewinner and Fields medallists beyond my limited ability to count. (The main speakers are Michael Atiyah, Robert Guralnick, Ngô Bảo Châu, Endre Szemerédi, Cédric Villani, Claire Voisin and Don Zagier.)
The highlight, to which you must come even if you can’t come to the rest of the meeting, is a lecture by Persi Diaconis on the life, work, and magic of Martin Gardner, on the centenary of his birth. The lecture is free and open to the public, but you must register in advance. It is on Monday evening, 7 April, in the Great Hall at Queen Mary.
You really should come – but hurry, early registration ends TODAY.
See the webpage for the full list of speakers and for registration.
