Forthcoming attraction

Readers of this blog who are within reach of London and need an excuse to come to the capital for a day of Christmas shopping might be interested in a talk by Sasha Borovik at 4:30pm on 13 December 2010 at Queen Mary.

The title of his talk is “Protomathematics, metamathematics, and hidden structures of elementary school mathematics”, and the seminar notice is here.

If I have time, I will post comments on Sasha’s book Mathematics under the Microscope between now and then.
